Choi Sooyoung successfully concluded her Japan solo debut showcase.
According to her agency, Saram Entertainment, "Choi Sooyoung successfully held her Japan solo debut showcase Unstoppable on the 26th at the Yebisu Garden Hall in Tokyo." The showcase, which was held in two sessions, was sold out for both, highlighting her continued popularity in Japan.
On the day of the event, Sooyoung kicked off the showcase with Girls' Generation's MR. TAXI. She then performed live renditions of other Girls' Generation hits like GENIE and BAD GIRL, heating the atmosphere even more. Sooyoung also introduced all the tracks from her debut single album, including the title track Unstoppable, C.A.L.M, Who is reflected in this world?, and Call Me, filling the stage for 75 minutes and leaving unforgettable memories for the fans who attended the showcase.
Sooyoung shared her thoughts on her debut, saying, "It's not the first time I've stood on stage alone, but as this is a solo debut, I feel even more nervous and excited. It's so happy to see a dream come true, and I'm so enjoying being on stage again after a long time." She continued, "I'm happy that I could share my first solo album, first stage, and first challenge with my fans. I will continue to work hard to show various sides of myself both as a singer and an actress, so please look forward to it," expressing her heartfelt gratitude.
Sooyoung's first solo debut single in Japan, Unstoppable is an album filled with her identity. Sooyoung, who took on the full production of the album, also participated in the lyrics, incorporating many challenges, difficulties, and successes she's experienced into the songs. The album is available in three versions: a limited edition CD, CD+Blu-ray, and CD only. The limited edition CD includes a style book and a ticket for a video call with Choi Sooyoung. The CD+Blu-ray version includes her debut documentary and a conversation with top Japanese artist Koda Kumi.
